The Treatment

Dr. Alvarez will take either a digital scan or an impression of your teeth.  Your first set of aligners will be ready just a few days after.  The aligners put gentle pressure on the teeth to encourage them to move into their new, straight position.  Each set of aligners is worn for 1-2 weeks and then you will swap them out with a new set. 

You will want to make sure that you wear your aligners for at least 22 hours a day.  Consistent wear will prevent prolonged treatment times.  Treatment times vary from person to person, but on average people use clear aligners for about a year.
